Dr. Ivan Lule

Eng. Dr. Ivan Lule is a registered chemical engineer with over 20 years of experience in areas of strategic planning, industrial processes, waste management planning, science and technology policy, and research. 

He currently serves as the Deputy Chairperson of the National Planning Authority.

He has been a champion of professional development for the processing industry that covers disciplines of oil and gas, agriculture, and environment. He has participated in the design and accreditation of academic programmes to support emerging industrial engineering disciplines such as oil and gas, textile engineering, and industrial biotechnology.

As an educationist, he has served as a Deputy Dean, Head of Department, Senior Lecturer, and Lecturer in several chartered universities. As an academician, he has published over twenty publications, and supervised six dissertations. Eng. Lule brings on board corporate leadership experiences that he has attained while serving on various Boards including the National Planning Authority, the Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers as well as Bugema University Council.

Dr Lule is also a certified Risk Analyst with a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Leuven, a Masters in Process Technology from the University of Leuven/Ghent, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical and Process Engineering from the University of Dar es Salaam.
