Godfrey has 17 years of experience in collecting sub-surface geo-engineering information on the foundation conditions beneath structures for storage dams, weir, outlet portal, and investigation of construction materials. He has worked for several international Consultant Companies, such SWECO, NORPLAN, carrying out geotechnical exploration studies for Karuma Hydroelectric Power Project (HEPP), Bujagali Hydroelectric Power Project (HEPP) and other smaller dam sites that are coming on stream in Uganda and Rwanda. His area of expertise is in hydrogeology, petroleum exploration and production, as well as Geo-Engineering.
Godfrey has an MSc. in Petroleum Geoscience from Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim Norway (1995). He started his career as Petroleum Geologist with the Petroleum Exploration Promotion Project in 1992 and was one of the pioneer Geoscientists that worked in the Albertine Graben to promote the region for exploration.
